Looks like you had a good weekend in Afan. Re your previous blog, perhaps you were having a bad night, but my advice, for what is worth is this. Don't worry about how good you are, or whether you win a race etc, just make sure that whatever you do, is either enjoyable to you or those around you. I try and instill into my children and my Scouts that it isn't whether you win or not that counts, it's whether YOU have done your best and enjoyed it. We as adults sometimes forget that !!! If you only chase winning, for most of us, that is a false dream, as it can get smashed in one event. Yes, try very hard to succeed, but it's the trying that's fun, not the outcome.
I race mountain bikes for UK enduro team Ironhorse Extreme (www.ironhorse-extreme.com). I race 12 and 24 hour solo races. This blog is a chance for those interested to keep an eye on my training and racing progress, to send messages of luck and motivation and for me to manage my relationship with the sport and those within it.
